Rice Leaf Pendant

Known by many names like riso, arroz, kanin, irayisi, rice is a staple food for over 50% of the world no matter the cultural origin. This little grain can be found everywhere feeding world hunger. From Mexico's sweet milk drink, horchata, to New Orleans' Cajun jambalaya, rice transcends cultures. It has even made its way into our wedding ceremonies representing good wishes and a prosperous life for newlywed couples. The rice toss originated as a way for guests to wish the bride and groom a showering of abundance and good fortune.
