Foxford Woollen Mills
Foxford Woollen Mills is nestled alongside the majestic flow of the mighty River Moy and the magnificent peaks of the Ox and Nephin Mountains. It is an experience like no other.
Foxford is steeped in history and are known throughout the world for their luxurious woollen products. Originally Foxford's wool came from sheep on the banks of the River Moy. However, most Irish wool is too coarse and scratchy in texture, due to the Wild Atlantic climate. Irish wool is more suited for the production of carpets. Most of the wool used in the Foxford mill is Australian Lambswool. Australian sheep are bred specifically for their fine fleece. The wool is breathable & absorbs moisture. Making it a versatile material for both summer & winter.
At Foxford Woollen Mills, every piece is made to last and passes through many hands during the production process, completed from start to finish in the West of Ireland.
