Hosta's are a popular ornamental herbaceous perennial in the United States and are in the asparagus family. The blooms are trumpet or bell-shaped, and their colour range from shades of white, lavender and purple. Michael discovered these beautiful pods that appeared in his Hosta plants after the flowers had died off. These pods drop off in the fall and winter to create net year' beauty. Even at the end of the flowers life Michael still found beauty, in the plant's life cycle.
